Main Line Flax

Flax is also commonly known as linseed, it is a food and fiber crop that is grown in the cooler regions of the world. The west refer to flax as linen and is traditionally used for bed sheets, underclothes and table linen.

Description: This flame retardant fabric is created by sustainable sources. The wild flax has been used in textiles for thousands of years. This is due to its long, strong and smooth fibers which are found inside the stem of the plant. The fiber is spun into a 70-30 wool flax blend, then dyed to create a mixture of yarns, which are then woven into interesting solids and cross colours.

Vita is a leather-look vinyl, with a subtle surface grain effect and full matt appearance. It provides maximum protection for heavy duty end-use areas in sectors such as contract, healthcare and public transport.

Vita does not contain phthalate plasticisers or heavy metals, yet remains soft, stretchy and pliable. It benefits from a modified durable top coat, which offers improved resistance to alcohol cleaners and excellent wearability.
